Prerequisites

  • Must be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, or lawfully admitted to Canada as a student.

  • Minimum 14 years of age for the first solo flight.

  • Minimum 17 years of age to obtain a Private Pilot Licence.

Medical Requirements

A Category 3 Aviation Medical Certificate, issued by Transport Canada, is required to validate your Student Pilot Permit and Private Pilot Licence (PPL-H). We strongly recommend completing your medical before beginning training, as solo flight is not permitted without it

Knowledge Requirements

To obtain your Private Pilot Licence – Helicopter (PPL-H), you must:

  • Complete 40 hours of Ground School.

  • Pass the Transport Canada PPHEL written exam with a minimum score of 60%.

Operations certificate. His passion for aviation began early, leading him to achieve significant milestones DRAFT in the field. Currently, he is pursuing aerospace engineering at the University of Michigan and holds a commercial helicopter pilot license.
